| Naked Compensation :: Crossing the Line? |

Editorial: The media nicknamed claims companies as "ambulance chasers", a term coined in the US where injury lawyers do actually chase ambulances to ask the victims inside if they want to make a claim against anyone. The UK got far worse than that. At least the US lawyers could admit that what they were doing was unethical and demeaning, UK solicitors kept a straight face whilst putting colouring books in G.P. waiting rooms with their ad on and phoning people at random to ask them if they had anything they could claim for. Thinking you've done nothing wrong when you clearly have is a much worse state to be in as an industry than one that knows it's in the wrong. †
